Waffle Cloth, Interrupted
Le Cabin Cloth

This is a washcloth that I whipped up while up at my parent's cabin. I made up the pattern as I went along and it turned out rather interesting. I'll definitely use it again. This pattern is super easy, using only purls and knits. It's a great pattern to use if you're practicing k's and p's, I think. It ends up looking sort of like the waffle cloth, but, they pattern shifts and dissapears. Just...make it and you'll know what I'm saying.

I used size #8 needles and Sugar and Cream cotton yarn (I used Vintage Wine Ombre).

Cast on a multiple of 4sts plus 2 more (I used 34)

Rows 1 and 2, Knit
Rows 3 & 5 - K2,p2 to the end (end with k2)
Row 4 & 6 P2,k2 to the end (end with p2)
Row 7 - K2,p2 to the end
Row 8 - Knit
Row 9 - Purl

Repeat this pattern 3 more times (or until desired length). But, when finished with last set of K2,p2, do this instead of Rows 8 and 9:

Knit one row
Next row, bind off. Tie off all loose ends and you're done.

Remember, you can make this cloth using any multiple of 4 sts plus 2 more. The above pattern made a nice medium-sized cloth for me.

Did you use this pattern? Drop me a line and let me know. If you have a picture, I'd love to see it.
